1.) Am I
required to do anything before the housekeeper arrives?
We ask that you pick up toys, clothing and other
household or office items before our maid(s) arrive to
save time, and allow our maids to work more efficiently.
2.)
Are you going to send
a team of maids? No, typically, we usually
only send one thoroughly trained & experienced maid, but
if it is a large job, then we will send more than one.
3.)
Do I have to
sign a contract? No, absolutely not.
Unlike most maid companies, we don't require you to sign
a contract. You may cancel service at any time.
The only thing we do ask is that you plan on cancelling
a regularly scheduled house cleaning, that you give us
48 hours advance notice. Our house cleaners are
paid for each home or office they clean - a
cancellation without enough notice to reschedule another
appointment directly affects the housekeeper's income.
4.)
How are you able to
gain access to the house if I am not at home?
Many of our customers are not at home when we perform
cleanings. What we will do is make personal and
confidential arrangements with you on how to gain access
to the house if you are absent.
5.)
What if my house cleaning is scheduled on a holiday?
If your home or office cleaning falls on a holiday, then
we will contact you to reschedule.
6.)
What type of training
do your maids have? Excellent question! Our
housekeepers & maids have hundreds of hours of
experience. We have our own course & tests they
must take in order for them to qualify for a spot on our
team.
Our management team and cleaners are constantly trained in proper
cleaning techniques; use of different cleaning products;
proper use and maintenance of cleaning equipment; use of
alarm systems; workplace safety; organizational and time
management skills; knowledge of our company's policies;
communication skills, with the client, co-workers, pets
and the company; and map-reading skills.
7.) How is payment handled? We currently accept
Cash or Checks. Although, we will be able to
accept VISA & MasterCard soon. If you are not at
home, simply leave your payment on the countertop and
our maids will pick it up and enter it into our system.

8.) What about Special Requests, Chores or One-Time
Cleanings? We love special requests.
Just give us a call, and we will do everything that is
necessary to accommodate you.
9.) Do You Carry Insurance For Damage? While every
effort is made to use great care in your home, sometimes
accidents do happen. Our housekeepers are trained to
immediately notify our office (and you) if something is
broken or damaged so that we can handle the situation as
soon as possible. If we should break or damage
something, we will make every effort to have the item
repaired or if necessary it will be replaced.
10.)
How do you monitor quality of services performed?
Quality housekeeping is our primary concern. To
ensure quality, we train our maids to double and triple
check everything on the cleaning list. We also
employ a manager to accompany the maid periodically to
inspect your home or office to make sure the services
you are paying for are being performed.
Unfortunately, most maid companies don't do this!
11.)
What about background checks? Yes, this is the
most important employee screening process of all.
Before we employ any one, the applicant must have
verifiable references, a stable employment history and
no prior felony convictions. We also perform
random drug testing on all of our employees.
12.) What about pets? Pets are not usually a
problem. We would like to know the names of your
pets for reference during our housekeeping sessions.
And, if you have any large pets, we do request that you
secure them. : - )
13.)
Do you supply the cleaning products?
Yes, we
do. Although, many of our customers like to use
their own cleaning supplies that they're more
comfortable with. If you would like us to use our
own products, you will have a choice between the
traditional cleaning products on the market and GREEN
Non-Toxic, environmentally safe products. Over
recent years, we have been slowly switching to all
natural cleaning products, which are better for the
environment and your overall health.

14.)
How do I provide feedback to my home or office cleaning?
If you believe we have missed something, or not
cleaned properly, just give us a call and one of our
maids will go back out and correct anything that needs
attention.
15.)
Should I tip my housekeeper or maid? Tipping
is not required, nor expected, but is always
appreciated. If you feel that they have done an
exceptional job, and would like to show your gratitude,
then you may leave a cash tip. We will also leave
a post-paid comment card for you to fill out. An
occasional note will really mean a lot too!
16.)
Why is the first time you clean my home priced higher?
We begin your service with an initial "detail clean" of your home.
This first cleaning is similar to a "catch up" clean or
a spring clean. There are a variety of first time tasks
performed during this clean that require extra time and
effort. There is a big difference between "old" dirt and
"new" dirt. If we don't get rid of it the first time,
keeping your home truly spotless will not be possible. It is not uncommon for us
to spend two to four times longer than it will take on regular, repeat
maintenance cleaning.
17.)
How does our maid service relationship work?
We always appreciate your patronage. We offer
service weekly, every two weeks, every three weeks,
monthly or on an as-needed basis. We realize
everyone has busy schedules, and we will do whatever is
necessary to work around them for you.
18.)
Is Atlanta Maid Service a franchise? No, and
we will never be one. We believe in personalized,
flexible, friendly, home-town service. You won't
find anybody trying to put pressure you over the phone
or in-person.
19.)
Why is there a need for an in-home estimate? A
walk-through is necessary for us to provide you with an
accurate estimate. We can give you a ballpark
figure over the phone as to how much it will cost to
cleaning your home or small office, but cannot guarantee
the price until we're on site. We will custom
tailor a cleaning for your property based off of your
specific needs and requirements.
20.)
Do you clean
windows? Yes, we clean windows on the inside
only. If you're looking for outside window
cleaners, we suggest that you hire a company that
specializes in it.
21.)
Will I have the same housekeeper every time?
Our goal is to match you up with a housekeeper you are
very happy with so that the same person cleans your home
on a regular basis.
22.)
How long will it
take to clean my home or office?
Naturally,
this can depend on the condition of the house and other
variables, but as a rule, most homes and offices we
maintain on a regular basis are cleaned in 2-4 hours.
Initial cleanings may take longer to bring it up to par.
23.)
Will the
housekeeper do the laundry and iron my clothes?
No, unfortunately we do not offer these services. |
